The Crooked River Watershed

The Crooked River Watershed is located in Emmet and Cheboygan Counties in Northwest Michigan. The Crooked River is approximately 4.5 miles long and flows from Pickerel and Crooked Lakes to Burt Lake.  Several tributaries including White’s Creek flow into the Crooked River. The river is subject to a fair amount of recreational use and is well developed. The Crooked River’s lowland and marsh habitat create ideal wildlife habitat.
